This is an antique, hand carved, wooden, African woman’s, four legged stool which was tribally made from a single piece of wood by the Lobi tribe of Burkina Faso, Africa. Traditionally the Lobi people made stools with three legs which were for the men to use and stools with four legs which were for the women to use. This rare African Lobi small woman’s stool measures 15.50 inches long across the top and is 4.50 inches tall and 7.50 inches wide. This piece weighs 4 pounds. Great condition with wear and cracking to the wood from age and tribal use especially to one leg (shown in the last photo). This wooden stool is a little slanted across the top. This specimen is very desirable and would make a fine addition to any African collection.
