Listing is for an industrial antique cast iron swing out seat circa 1920, and would have been attached to industrial setting and school benches, tables, desks, and other utilitarian furniture. The cast iron swing arm is in great condition with no cracks or breaks and works as it should. I have not cleaned it and is still a little dirty as you can see in the pictures of some dried up dirt/dust. The wood seat has the original aging, and i have not cleaned this in any way and is simple to do. The wood seat has a few spots of paint but can easily be removed with some remover or possibly even just water and rubbing with a pad. The seat is dual layered Oak. I left the wood bare and did not add any oil, wax, finish etc. Dimensions: If the iron arm was to be mounted as it should it would be 11 to the other end of the arm where it meets the seat holder and in the center of the seat. The wood seat is 11 in diameter itself. That means from the far end of the seat to where the iron bracket mounts to a bench/table is a total of 16-1/2. There is a few more inches added on the mounting section of the arm, but that does not effect the length of these for usage and are part of the mounting side. Ask any and all questions you may have.
